About Adjudic8.ca
We have non-lawyers with a wealth of engineering, architectural and construction knowledge
Adjudic8.ca is the adjudication wing of Kennaley Construction Law.
We provide submissions for use in the adjudication process, under the supervision of experienced construction lawyers.
Construction disputes are rarely limited to questions of law. They often involve detailed technical issues relating to construction methods, drawings and specifications, schedules, payment applications, changes, deficiencies, project documentation, and the work actually performed on site.
Understanding these issues requires more than simply reviewing a contract—it requires an appreciation of how construction projects are designed, managed, priced, and built.
That is where Adjudic8.ca brings a different perspective.
Our team includes non-lawyer professionals with a wealth of engineering, architectural, and construction knowledge, allowing us to engage with the technical details that can be central to a construction dispute. We work through project records, contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, correspondence, invoices, payment documents, and other relevant materials to identify and organize the information that matters to the Adjudication.
Construction law is inherently interdisciplinary. A dispute about a payment may involve measurements and quantities. A delay dispute may require an understanding of scheduling and sequencing. A deficiency claim may depend on architectural or engineering requirements. A change dispute may require an understanding of drawings, specifications, site conditions, labour, materials, and construction methods.
Having professionals who understand these underlying concepts can add an important technical dimension to the preparation of an adjudication submission.
At Adjudic8.ca, we recognize that the facts of a construction dispute are often found in the details of the project itself. Our technical background allows us to engage with those details while working within a process supported by experienced construction-law professionals.
